About Hawaii Hemp Expo
A focused industry convening on industrial hemp for housing, agriculture, and local manufacturing in Hawaii.
Purpose.
Hawaii Hemp Expo exists to bring the right people into the same room to move industrial hemp from discussion to real world use.
The focus is practical outcomes. Clear documentation. Code aware conversations. Pilot ready planning.
What this is.
- Industrial hemp education for Hawaii
- A convening for builders, farmers, agencies, researchers, and funders
- A place to compare materials, systems, and pilot pathways
- A platform for documented progress beyond the event
What this is not.
- A consumer cannabis event
- A retail marketplace
- A THC product showcase
- A lifestyle or wellness festival
Why Hawaii.
Materials and cost pressure
Hawaii relies heavily on imported building materials. Costs and supply constraints impact housing and public projects.
Local agriculture opportunity
Industrial hemp can support diversified farming, soil improvement, and new value chains tied to fiber and hurd.
Manufacturing and jobs
Processing and manufacturing are the missing links. This Expo highlights systems needed for local capability.
Core focus areas.
Built environment
- Hempcrete and bio based construction
- Moisture, durability, and detailing for island conditions
- Code awareness, testing, and inspection pathways
Agriculture and industry
- Fiber processing and manufacturing systems
- Regenerative agriculture and soil health
- Education, pilots, and workforce development
How we operate.
- Education first. Clear information. No hype.
- Industrial hemp only. No THC. No retail.
- Code aware. Material and system discussions grounded in reality.
- Documentation. Notes, summaries, and follow up beyond the event.
- Local impact. Prioritize Hawaii needs and Hawaii partners.
